Frequently Asked Questions

The best shampoo experience of your life! The health of your hair is directly tied to the health of your scalp which often gets neglected,  to care for your scalp we provide a service that we call a Scalp Facial.  Our shampoo beds come directly from Japan and our staff has learned under a certified trichologist who studied in Japan.  Your service will include a detailed cleanse and treatment, a detailed massage and shampoo, a deep condition, and finishing scalp toner all while relaxing under a warming UV red light and fluffy blanket.  This service books out for 90 minutes.  It’s pretty amazing, trust us, we’ve tried it!

We recommend booking every 4 to 6 weeks.  Getting regular scalp facials is beneficial for hair and scalp conditions providing the optimal growth environment.

A blow dry is not included in our Scalp Facial however, you can add a blow dry on as a separate service!  If you do not wish to add a blow dry on to your Scalp Facial, we do have a self-dry blow dry bar provided that is adjacent to the salon floor.  The self-dry bar will include products, brushes, and blow dryers available to you at no additional cost!

We recommend waiting 48 hours before or after an on the scalp color service to schedule your scalp facial to ensure we don’t overwhelm your scalp!  If you have tape or sewn-in extensions, we recommend scheduling your scalp facial in between removal and reinstall, this way your extensions aren’t compromised, and you can have the full experience!   It’s also a really great way to get your scalp prepped and ready for your next extension service! If you have further questions, ask one of our stylists!

No! Each stylist will do a thorough consultation at the beginning of every hair service to help determine your desired look. Having had your colors done and knowing your season can enhance this experience, but it is not necessary.

Here is a list of all of the color services we offer with detailed descriptions. We ask that you book your service according to your color needs as each service has a different time denomination attached to it to ensure our stylists can achieve your hair goals.

Hair Color Consultation: Unsure of what you’re looking for? Need advice about where to go with your color? Have questions about what services are needed to achieve your dream color? While all color appointments come standard with beginning consultations, sometimes you just need a little more time to talk through things and process before you’re ready to proceed, and that’s ok! That’s what a color consultation is for. It’s a 15 minute appointment to do just that.

Single Process Color: A single process color is for root touch ups, gray coverage, and going all over darker with your hair color.

Highlight: The highlight service is both for highlights and lowlights, (highlights are taking your hair lighter, lowlights for darker pieces.) This is a service is done using foils to separate the hair being colored. This service is a more blended look and will not cover all of your hair.

Face Frame Foil: This service is just a more expedited version of the highlight. Instead of covering most of your head in foils, this service will focus on the front hairline and down the part.

Color and Full Highlight: When you need a bit of everything, color and full highlight is for you. This service will provide color all over the roots in addition to highlights/lowlights.

Balayage: Balayage is a more specialized way of adding highlights to the hair. It is a French technique of painting the hair and letting it process in open air or isolated in a foil for airy, lived-in looking color.

Lightener Retouch and Tone: This service is reserved for guests that receive all over blonding services. Lightener is applied directly to the scalp; the hair is then toned to achieve the desired platinum look.

Fashion Color: If you’re looking to color your hair a shade that is not naturally occurring, we can help with that!

Fashion colors are the vivids purples, blues, greens, etc. But that also includes the dreamy pastel colors. We recommend a color consultation prior to scheduling your fashion color appointment to ensure you and your stylist are on the same page and to be sure we have your desired color in stock, as we only keep a small amount of fashion colors on hand.

Color Correction: If you’ve ever had an “oops” with your hair color and need some help, we’re here for you. We will start this appointment off with a thorough consultation so we can discuss realistic hair goals. This appointment usually takes a bit longer depending on the severity of the “oops.”

If you are in the market for a color that doesn’t occur in nature, we’d love to help you with that! First off — please come in for a consultation! We want to make sure you and your stylist are on the same page. Also, we want to make sure we have enough of your desired color on hand! But also, we want to be transparent and let you know that fashion colors won’t last as long as the traditional colors. Because of this your stylist may suggest starting with a darker shade in order to ensure longevity. That way you can enjoy your color even as it fades.
